Accessibility statement
This site is part of the Yasmin A Darling family of sites. Every site in the family is built to the same standard, for every mind, body and way of learning. Last reviewed 17 September 2026.
What is in place
- Arial throughout, the plain sans serif style the British Dyslexia Association recommends, with plain zeros and no italics
- Generous line, letter and word spacing, short line lengths and no text in capitals
- No bright white backgrounds. Reading settings at the top of every page let you choose standard, lavender, sage and dark colours, a larger text size and wider spacing
- Strong contrast between text and background, checked in every colour choice
- Colour never carries meaning on its own, so the site works for people with any kind of colour blindness
- Underlined links, thick focus outlines and large targets that are easy to reach
- Works with a keyboard alone, with screen readers, voice control, zoom and high contrast modes
- Nothing flashes, nothing plays on its own, no pop ups and no time limits
- Plain English, real headings and a skip to content link on every page
- Images that carry meaning have a text description, and decorative ones are hidden from screen readers
The standard
The aim is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA in full, and level AAA wherever it can be reached. On 17 September 2026 every page of every site in the family was checked with automated testing in every colour choice. No level AA failures were found, and text contrast met level AAA throughout. Keyboard order, visible focus and pages at a narrow 320 pixel width were also checked with automated browser tests.
What has not been done yet
There has been no independent audit and no testing with disabled users yet, so full compliance is not claimed. Booking and payment happen on Cal.com and Stripe, whose pages are outside this site. If either is hard for you, write instead and it will be arranged another way.
